Mid-winter greetings!
2025 Meeting Deadline Approaching:
The February 15 deadline for submissions to the 54th annual meeting of the Circle is rapidly approaching. As previously announced, the meeting will take place June 23−26 (Monday through Thursday) 2025, in Athens, Greece, under the auspices of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Attached please find a letter from Convenor Fotini Vassiliou.
Annual Call for Dues:
The Husserl Circle Bylaws stipulate that members’ dues must be in good standing through 2024 to be eligible to be considered for inclusion on the 2025 program.
Future Meetings:
Members interested in hosting future meetings of the Husserl Circle, beginning with the 2026 meeting, are invited to submit proposals at the Business Meeting in Athens. Preference will be given to invitations from North American Institutions for the 2026 meeting, per the HC’s practice of meeting in North American and Europe. in alternate years. However, proposals for all venues on either side of the Atlantic will be considered, especially those with convenient travel and lodging logistics and strong institutional backing. Host institutions receive $1400 from the Husserl Circle in financial support.
You may renew your Husserl Circle dues with your credit card. To do so, click on the “Dues” link and follow the simple instructions. Checks should be mailed to the address below.

Dear members and friends of the Husserl Circle,
As previously announced, the 54th Meeting of the Husserl Circle is scheduled for June 23−26, 2025 (Monday through Thursday), in Athens, Greece, under the auspices of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I would like to kindly remind you that the deadline for the submission of papers or abstracts is February 15. Submissions can be sent to either [email protected] or [email protected].
Athens offers a wide range of hotels and rental apartments. Although June is a popular tourist month, there will be plenty of options for participants and attendees. There are, also, a plethora of restaurants, bistros, bars, shops. And, of course, the ancient sites and museums for those who would like to pay a visit.
Further details regarding registration and the conference agenda will be communicated soon.

2025 Husserl Circle Meeting: Call for papers/abstracts
The Husserl Circle is pleased to announce its 2025 Annual Meeting, which will take place in Athens, Greece, from June 23-26, 2025, under the auspices of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Scholars working on any aspect of Edmund Husserl’s philosophy are invited to submit either a full paper with a brief 150-word abstract or a more substantial abstract (about 500 words) clearly outlining the paper. Preference will be given to full paper submissions. Participants will have 30 minutes for presentation, followed by 15 minutes for commentation and discussion. Papers and abstracts should be prepared for blind review and submitted to [email protected]
The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2025 (12pm GMT). Decisions will be communicated by the selection committee no later than March 1, 2025.
The conference venue is located at “Kostis Palamas” Building (more information here), at 48 Akadimias St. & Sina St., downtown Athens.
Athens offers a wide range of accommodation options, from hotels to rental apartments. Although June is a busy tourist season, there will be plenty of choices. Additionally, the city is filled with restaurants, bistros, bars, shops, as well as historical sites and museums for those interested in sightseeing.
