Next Husserl Circle Meeting,
Paris 2009

Dear Members and Friends of the Husserl Circle,

first of all, we wish you a happy new year. As Paris is very full in the summer, we are pleased that we have been able to make 59 hotel room reservations for participants in this year's meeting. Most, but not all, of the rooms are also suitable for couples; further details are below. If you wish to benefit from these reservations, please contact the hotel on April 30 at the latest. We remind you that, should you wish to participate in the meeting by delivering a paper, the deadline for submissions is March 15, 2009. Papers should have a reading time of no more than 30 minutes, and will be followed by 15 minutes of comments by an invited respondent and 15 minutes of plenary discussion. The Scientific Committee will anounce its decisions by April 10, 2009. The members of the committee are: Rudolf Bernet (Leuven), James Mensch (Saint Francis Xavier), Gianfranco Soldati (Fribourg), Wioletta Miskiewicz (IHPST), and Mark van Atten (IHPST). We have been able to make 59 reservations for single rooms. All reservations are for 5 nights (it may be possible to adjust this to your own needs). Arrival date: Sunday, June 21, 2009 Departure date: Friday, June 26, 2009. You settle the bill when you leave the hotel. Five hotels are in the center of Paris (Quartier Latin), the remaining three within walking distance of the conference site (16th arrondissement)

- write an email to the hotel(s) of your choice; the addresses are below.
- subject: CNRS/HC 21-26 juin 2009
- CC to wioletta.miskiewicz@ens.fr and to mark.vanatten@univ-paris1.fr
- in the body, be sure to mention that the reservation has been made in the name of `CNRS 21-26 juin 2009'
- in the body, announce that you will call or fax the hotel to give the details of your credit card. Please do not make your reservation by phone or fax only, as the email also serves the purpose of our own administration.

Letter from the Secretary (Feb 2009)

Participation in the Husserl Circle’s Annual Program :   

Members of the Husserl Circle in good standing predominately but not exclusively make up the Circle’s annual program. Each year a limited number of papers submitted by non-members are accepted. The Circle also encourages its senior members to serve on the program as commentators in order to open presentation slots for junior colleagues and newcomers.

Dear Colleague,

The 39th annual meeting of the Husserl Circle held in Milwaukee, at Marquette University this past June was an immense success. Special thanks are in order to Convenors Sebastian Luft and Pol Vandevelde, who did a superb job of assembling a first-rate program and attending to the every need of the many members and friends of the Circle in attendance.
The level of presentation and discussion was once again very high. The following have accepted invitations to join the Circle:

A letter from the convenors is enclosed.
