Call for papers/abstracts

Dear members of the Husserl Circle,

As previously announced, the 55th Annual Meeting of the Husserl Circle will be held in the city of Veracruz, Mexico, under the auspices of the Instituto de Filosofía of the Universidad Veracruzana, from June 9th to 12th, 2026.

We invite all those interested in participating to submit either:

  1. A full paper prepared for a 30-minute presentation (between 3,900 and 4,500 words) accompanied by a short abstract of about 150 words, or
  2. A substantial abstract of about 500 words outlining the paper’s main argument and including relevant bibliography.

Submissions should be sent to [email protected] no later than February 1, 2026. Decisions will be communicated by March 1, 2026.

We also encourage participants to indicate whether they would like to serve as commentators on a paper, and to share the topics or areas of interest in which they would be willing to comment.

The meeting will take place at Unidad de Servicios Bibliotecarios y de Información (USBI) of the Universidad Veracruzana of Veracruz’s campus: https://maps.app.goo.gl/gG21UfstSmQ2Z7mw6 .

The venue is a modern facility that also houses a major library. It lies near the beaches of Costa de Oro, Costa Verde, and Mocambo, as well as the Boca del Río boardwalk (malecón), in a vibrant touristic area with numerous hotels, restaurants, cafés, and bars. The city of Veracruz is served by an international airport.

Further information regarding transportation, accommodation, dining, and other points of interest in and around Veracruz will be provided soon.

We look forward to welcoming you once again to Mexico, this time near to the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Cordially,

Ignacio Quepons Ramírez & Esteban Marín Ávila
